The Who's Tommy Dallas Theatre reviews
Red Wings Rule...but not today
"The Joe is surrounded by freeways so a lot of the area around it is not pedestrian friendly. My only complaint is when you are trying to leave The Joe. We did not drive and that is where the problems began. We managed to find our way past a very unfriendly Riverfront Apartment security guard to the Riverwalk. Just then a very kind shuttle bus driver saw us walking in the cold wind and offered to take us to our destination. Great guy! The seats were just right, the crowd was cool and everything was first rate. We were not familiar with the area and to be fair that was probably why it was not easy to find our way back. If you don't want to be smashed onto the People Mover with the drinking and smoking crowd that you avoided at the arena, trying to walk back to Greektown is challenging. The Who's Tommy lost in overtime but it was still a great time. I love going to see hockey at The Joe."
